Kerim Basaran
Founder
After a thriving career in the Hospitality Industry, Kerim Basaran has founded KB Hospitality Consultancy in 2018.

Kerim Basaran has over 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. His eminent career to date includes several hotel openings and senior management roles across 3 continents over 10 countries with luxury brands like Raffles, Marriott, Hyatt, and Hilton. Kerim has also worked as a member of task force teams in Maldives, Seychelles, Doha, Jeddah, and Sharm al-Sheik during his career.

He is a specialist in Food & Beverage and a generalist in the hotel and real estate development with experience in design & development, pre-opening, project and asset management. During his career, he was lucky enough to see both sides of the table as an operator and consultant/owners representative assisting investors with excellent returns on their investments for many years.

His approach is based on listening to clients to ensure tailor-made solutions are delivered while taking on the business burden; ease the decision-making process and streamline the information flow, leaving clients free to focus on their core business until their vision is realized.

He has done everything from a master planning of multi-billion dollar mixed-use development, feasibility study of a proposed luxury hotel project in a remote island, developing hotels and dining concepts, negotiating franchise and management agreement contracts to sourcing third-party operators for investors.

Kerim has an MBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from Swiss Hotel Management School, Montreux and Hotel Real Estate Investment and Asset Management certification from Cornell University, USA.
